Hi Gel and Jane! I'd say that Teacher Pio's intermediate class is like durian--it's for the brave soul who is willing to transcend everything not appealing to the senses... only to fall in love with it after having a bite. Some do after 20 bites or so, parang yoga. Sabi nga nila, durian smells like hell but tastes like heaven...para talagang intermediate class, mwahaha! >;-)

Jane: Chon, I so agree with the durian analogy. YES!

hi jane!

sweaty and strenuous - that's how i describe last Tuesday's class, my second (brave and daring) attempt at an Intermediate Teacher Pio class at VYC. To be face to face with my limitations, yet somehow slowly getting in touch with something deep inside that i feel will be a source of strength i never knew i had, has been truly humbling but truly reassuring as well... thank you to you and chona for your kind and encouraging words before and after the class. And thank you for the energy you contributed to the session! i surprised even myself at the poses I managed to do more deeply, and at the fact that i managed to somehow keep up with the pace!

Hope to see you more often! Peace!

Jane:So happy to bump into you again, Gel. And kudos for taking the brave step towards attending this class. The only way for us to make real progress in our yoga journey is to take a deep breath and plunge right in. See you again soon!

I know what you mean about the difference between self-practice and attending a class. Although I do Ashtanga even at home so the poses are the same, I always feel like I can do more when I'm in a class with my favorite teacher. :)

Namaste, Jane!

Jane: Avril, the secret is in the shared energies, including that of your favorite teacher. :-)
